Trims and Powertrains

Genesis GV70 buyers can choose from two trims: the 2.5T Standard or the 3.5T Sport. Powering the entry version is a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine making 300 horsepower and 311 lb.-ft. of torque. The Sport comes with a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 producing 375 horsepower and 391 lb.-ft. of torque. All-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission are included with both powerplants. The maximum towing capacity is 3,500 pounds (when properly equipped). The EPA has estimated fuel economy for the Standard at 22 mpg around town and 28 mpg on the open road (19 city/26 highway with the 21-inch wheels), while the Sport is rated for 19 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway.

2.5T

The 2.5T is well appointed with high-end amenities, including heated side mirrors with turn-signal indicators, a hands-free liftgate, trailer pre-wiring, 18-inch alloy wheels, leatherette seating surfaces, heated and power-adjustable front seats, and a 60/40-split folding second-row seatback. This trim also loads up on technology, including the world’s first in-vehicle fingerprint authentication system. There’s also an 8-inch LCD driver information display, a wireless phone charge pad, and an infotainment system with a 14.5-inch touchscreen, integrated navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth hands-free connectivity, HD radio, and SiriusXM satellite radio.

An assortment of advanced safety aids come standard in this base GV70. They include forward collision-avoidance assist, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, highway driving assist, smart cruise control with stop-and-go, intelligent speed limit assist, driver attention warning, high beam assist, rear parking sensors, and safe exit assist.

3.5T

The more athletic 3.5T Sport is upgraded with an electronically controlled suspension, power-folding side mirrors, a panoramic sunroof, 19-inch alloy wheels, genuine leather upholstery, ventilated front seats with power bolsters and thigh cushion extenders, an Ergo Motion driver’s seat, a heated steering wheel, and brushed aluminum interior trim. It also comes with advanced rear occupant alert, which helps to ensure that passengers and pets aren’t inadvertently left in a parked vehicle.

Packages

Both the 2.5T and the 3.5T are eligible for significant upgrading through bundled options. With the 2.5T, you’ll have a pick of three such packages: Select, Advanced, and Sport Prestige. The Select Package supplies a panoramic sunroof, 19-inch alloy wheels, ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and brushed aluminum interior trim. The Advanced Package builds off the Select by adding authentic leather upholstery, manual rear-door sunshades, and a premium Lexicon sound system. It also contains these advanced driving aids: a surround-view camera, a blind-spot view monitor, Remote Smart Parking Assist, reverse parking collision-avoidance assist, and advanced rear occupant alert.

The Sport Prestige Package has everything from the Advanced Package, plus Digital Key, 21-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery with mesh inserts, a 12.3-inch 3D digital gauge cluster, a leatherette-wrapped upper instrument panel, tri-zone automatic climate control, carbon-patterned aluminum interior décor, enhanced front seats with power bolsters and thigh cushion extenders, and an Ergo Motion driver’s seat.

Two packages are on offer with the 3.5T: Sport Advanced and Sport Prestige. The Sport Advanced Package has Digital Key, quilted Nappa leather upholstery, a leatherette-wrapped upper instrument panel, a deluxe Lexicon audio system, a microfiber suede headliner, a surround-view camera, a blind-spot view monitor, Remote Smart Parking Assist, and reverse parking collision-avoidance assist. The Sport Prestige Package bundles all of that, plus 21-inch alloy wheels, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, tri-zone automatic climate control, a head-up display, carbon-fiber interior accents, heated second-row seats, and manual rear-door sunshades.
