While the outgoing G70 was already gorgeous, the upcoming version takes visual appeal to new heights. The coupe-like silhouette remains an integral part of its identity, but the front end has been updated with a new guilloche-patterned emblem that highlights the seamless blending of classic elegance and contemporary innovation. Aside from that, the ’24 G70 will be eligible for 13 unique paint colors and will show off freshly designed 19-inch alloy wheels. Digital Key 2 will also be offered, enabling the G70’s driver to perform functions such as unlocking the doors via smartphone.
Genesis has tastefully restyled the G70’s cabin for greater comfort and connectivity. It will show off a sleek 6-inch touch-capacitive climate control panel and a new frameless rearview mirror, as well as a new leather-wrapped steering wheel sporting the updated Genesis logo and a new multifunctional switch operator. Meanwhile, the newest version of Genesis Connected Services will come standard, along with over-the-air software updates. To round out the ’24 G70’s interior overhaul, new Fog Gray leather upholstery will be offered alongside the returning Obsidian Black and Sevilla Red.
Genesis has a new turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine for the 2024 G70, which makes 300 hp and 311 lb.-ft. of torque for the most standard power of any model in its class. Aside from that, it’s getting a retuned Electronic Control Suspension (ECS) for superior driving dynamics through improved hydraulics and an updated control system. Some notable advantages to this amplified system include reduced damping lag, increased damping force resolution, improved control logic and functions, and a wider damping force window. To top it off, the ’24 G70 will be set up with a high-performance Brembo braking system.
The G70’s intelligent speed limit assist system has been improved as part of this overhaul. In addition to informing the driver of the current speed limit based on a combination of navigation data and road sign recognition software, this enhanced system can now help the driver change the set speed when either the smart cruise control or manual speed limit assist system is engaged. If intelligent speed limit assist detects a change, a message will appear in the gauge cluster and head-up display prompting drivers to speed up or slow down.
