There are three versions of the 2024 GV60: The rear-wheel-drive Standard and two all-wheel drive trims, Advanced and Performance. All three use a 77.4 kWh battery connected to a 160-kW rear motor (168kW for the Standard). The Advance also gets a 74-kW motor in the front, while the Performance has a 160-kW unit for the front axle. Horsepower varies by trim with the Standard at 225 hp, Advanced at 314 hp, and Performance at 429 hp.
The EPA’s official MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent) estimates for the Standard are 125 in the city and 99 on the highway with a range of 294 miles. This changes to 103 city/86 highway for the Advanced (along with a 248-mile range) and 97 city/82 highway for the Performance (its range is 235 miles). There is 54.7 cubic feet of cargo space with the back seat folded flat.
Level 3/DC fast charging at 250 kW can restore the GV60’s battery from 10% to 80% in as quickly as 18 minutes. The typical Level 2 (240-volt) charger requires about seven hours to take the battery from 10% to 100%. Available Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) charging converts the GV60 into a source of electricity that can power appliances and devices when regular outlets aren’t available.
The equipment list for the 2024 GV60 is extensive, even for the entry-level Standard, which gets the model-specific Crystal Sphere shifter ball and sophisticated security measures (Face Connect facial recognition access and a fingerprint authentication system), power-retractable door handles, slim-line front seats, wireless device charging, Vision Roof – a large deep-tinted fixed-panel glass roof with a power shade, a hands-free power liftgate, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, a heated power telescopic steering wheel, aluminum interior trim, a head-up display, sound-reducing side glass, LED exterior lighting, power-folding side mirrors, roof rails, rain-sensing wipers, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a cargo cover, and 19-inch alloy wheels. The seating situation includes leatherette upholstery, heated power front seats with lumbar controls, and a power cushion extender for the driver’s seat.
The Advanced adds real leather upholstery, heated and ventilated power front seats with lumbar controls, manual rear-door sunshades, additional USB ports, and 20-inch alloy wheels. The enticing upgrades for the Performance include Nappa leather upholstery, a driver’s seat with a power bolster and the proprietary Ergo Motion seat with air-pocket technology, heated rear seats, alloy pedals, a microfiber-wrapped headliner and pillars, and 21-inch wheels.
The 2024 Genesis GV60 has a range of standard advanced driver aids, like forward collision-avoidance assist, lane-keeping assist, lane-following assist, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, adaptive cruise control, and parking sensors. Additional technologies include highway driving assist, intelligent speed-limit assist, driver attention warning, automatic high beams, and safe exit assist. The Advanced and Performance also get a blind-spot view monitor, a surround-view monitor, Remote Smart Parking Assist, parking collision-avoidance assist, and rear occupant alert. Every GV60 gets a full set of airbags as well, plus anti-lock brakes, vehicle stability control, traction control, and a rearview monitor with dynamic guidelines.
A 12.3-inch high-definition touchscreen acts as the infotainment center for the GV60. It’s made complete with a multi-speaker audio system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, and access to a Wi-Fi hotspot and Genesis connected services. A 17-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system and active noise control are included in the Advanced and Performance trims. All versions of the GV60 can be accessed via a fingerprint reader or Face Connect, a facial recognition system. Genesis Digital Key 2, a smartphone app for keyless vehicle operation, is standard on the Performance.
