Powertrain, Trims, and Seating

The 2024 Genesis GV80 gives its buyers a choice of powerplants: a 300-horsepower turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine (2.5T) or a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 (3.5T) making 375 horsepower. An eight-speed automatic transmission comes standard, as does all-wheel drive. The Standard, Advanced, and Prestige trim can be built with either engine, but the top-tier Prestige Signature is only made with the V6.

In conjunction with the base engine, the GV80 is configured as a two-row vehicle to seat five passengers. With the 3.5T engine, that can go either way: with two rows/five seats or three rows/seven seats. The Prestige Signature is the exception: it’s made with two rows, but the second row is a pair of captain’s chairs, allowing it to seat only four. The EPA has estimated the ’24 GV80’s fuel economy at 20 mpg in the city and 24 on the highway with the 2.5T powerplant. and 18 mpg city/23 mpg highway with the 3.5T.

2.5T Standard

Besides its namesake 2.5-liter 300-hp turbocharged four-cylinder base engine, the 2.5T Standard gets Digital Key, leatherette upholstery, heated front seats that are power-adjustable with lumbar controls, a heated steering wheel, a hands-free power liftgate, a power tilt-and-telescopic steering column, rear door shades, matte-finish wood interior trim, power-folding exterior mirrors, an 8-inch driver information display, and 19-inch alloy wheels. The 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system unites a multi-speaker audio system, navigation, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio. Access to connected services is also included for emergency assistance, vehicle monitoring, and other features.

Like the other GV80 trims, the 2.5T Standard has a full set of airbags, anti-lock brakes, vehicle stability control, traction control, and a rearview monitor with dynamic guidelines. The standard safety equipment extends to these advanced driver-assist technologies: forward collision-avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, enhanced highway driving assist, intelligent speed limit assist, driver attention warning, automatic high beams, parking distance warning, safe exit assist, and advanced rear occupant alert.

2.5T Advanced

The Advanced version of the 2.5T makes drives a bit more plush with leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats with power adjustability, and 20-inch alloy wheels. The infotainment system is improved with a prime-quality Lexicon audio system with 21 speakers. Remote Smart Parking Assist joins the advanced safety suite along with a surround-view monitor, a blind-spot view monitor, and parking collision-avoidance assist.

2.5T Prestige

Taking the GV80 even further upscale is the 2.5T Prestige, which gets a 21-speaker Lexicon sound system plus a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a head-up display, tri-zone automatic climate control, heated second-row outboard seats, an electronically controlled suspension, a leatherette-wrapped upper instrument panel, active noise control, and 22-inch alloy wheels. The driver’s seat is enhanced with ergo motion technology, a power cushion extender, and side bolsters. This Prestige edition of the 2.5T adds the same safety upgrades as the Advanced – a surround-view monitor, a blind-spot view monitor, Remote Smart Parking Assist, and parking collision-avoidance assist – but it gets forward attention warning as well.

3.5T Standard

The obvious difference between the 3.5T Standard and the 2.5T Standard is the engine: in this case it’s a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 making 375 horsepower. Besides the output upgrade, this trim has its interior heightened with tri-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, front seats that are both heated and ventilated, a deluxe ergo motion driver’s seat, heated second-row seats, rear door shades, and a power-folding third row. It also receives a panoramic sunroof, an adaptive suspension, a head-up display, and 20-inch alloy wheels. It gets the same infotainment and driver-assist technologies as the 2.5T Standard.

3.5T Prestige

The 3.5T Prestige rises to the occasion with Nappa leather upholstery, a suede headliner, ventilated power-adjustable second-row seats (outboard), soft-close doors, power rear door shades, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, active noise control, 22-inch wheels, and the Lexicon audio system with 21 speakers. Like the 2.5T Prestige, its safety array includes Remote Smart Parking Assist, a surround-view monitor, a blind-spot view monitor, parking collision-avoidance assist, and forward attention warning.

Prestige Signature

The Prestige Signature stands apart from the rest with its own set of exterior treatments, six-way second-row captain’s chairs with wing-style headrests, one-touch second-row relax mode, and second-row wireless device charging. Its safety technology suite is fully loaded (including Remote Smart Parking Assist, a blind-spot view monitor, a surround-view monitor, parking collision-avoidance assist, and forward attention warning). The 21-speaker Lexicon sound system is included for the ultimate listening experience on the road.
