Trims, Powertrain, and Performance

Genesis offers the 2025 G70 in two amenity-filled trim packages: 2.5T and 3.5T. As their names suggest, the 2.5T is equipped with a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine (300 horsepower and 311 lb.-ft. of torque) and the 3.5T has a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 (365 horsepower and 376 lb.-ft. of torque). An eight-speed automatic transmission completes the powertrain in both. Rear-wheel drive (RWD) is standard, but both trims can both be upgraded with the available all-wheel drivetrain (AWD).

Despite its powerhouse performance, the 2025 G70 returns excellent fuel economy. The RWD 2.5T achieves an EPA-estimated 21 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway, while the AWD version will give its drivers 20 mpg city/28 mpg highway. Due to its higher-powered engine, the 3.3T gets slightly lower figures at 17 mpg city/25 mpg highway with RWD and 17 mpg city/23 mpg highway with AWD.

Prominent Amenities

The 2.5T may be the base trim, but it packs in tons of value with a well-rounded assortment of upscale amenities. The list includes leatherette upholstery, heated power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, proximity keyless entry, push-button ignition, a hands-free trunk, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink, an 8-inch digital gauge cluster, four USB ports, a 60/40-split folding rear seatback, heated side mirrors with LED turn-signal indicators, and LED headlights and taillights. On the performance side, it has a multi-link rear suspension, high-performance Brembo brakes, a drive mode selector, and 19-inch alloy wheels. The optional Sport Prestige Package will raise the luxury quotient with leather upholstery, ventilated front seats with position memory, a wide sunroof, wireless phone charging, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a power tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, power-folding electrochromic side mirrors with Genesis-logo puddle lights, a front passenger walk-in device, alloy sport pedals, acoustic front door glass, and superior 19-inch alloy wheels.

The 3.3T trim includes all of the features of a fully optioned 2.5T, along with the more powerful twin-turbo V6, Digital Key, a driver’s seat with power bolsters and cushion extension, and a variable valve exhaust system. It can also be upgraded with the optional Sport Prestige Package, adding Nappa leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, a head-up display, an electronically controlled suspension, a limited-slip differential, a power-operated trunk, and microfiber suede on the headliner and door pillars.

Active Safety Features

Genesis equips the 2025 G70 with an abundance of standard driver-assist technologies, including forward collision-avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, driver attention warning, blind-spot collision warning, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, safe exit warning, and rear occupant alert. Both trims also have intelligent speed limit assist, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control with highway driving assist. The 2.5T with the Sport Prestige Package and the 3.3T get front and rear parking sensors as well, while the 3.3T with the Sport Prestige package also receives a surround-view camera and a blind-spot view monitor.

Infotainment and Connectivity

Every G70 gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that includes navigation, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, HD Radio, and Bluetooth hands-free connectivity. While the 2.5T has a more basic yet high-quality sound system, it’s upgraded to a first-rate Lexicon system in that trim when the optional Sport Prestige Package is added. The 3.3T gets this Lexicon upgrade as a standard feature.
