It may seem as if the Electrified GV70 hasn’t been around for long, but it’s already time for the model to receive a mid-cycle refresh. For 2026, Genesis has made a number of updates to the all-electric crossover, inside and out. First, it shows off a visual refresh centered on a redesigned G-Matrix Crest Grille tailored specifically for the EV edition. It’s complemented by new two-line headlamps and matching rear turn signals. On the practical side, the redesigned charge port features a power door, a cold-weather heating element, and integrated illumination.
More significantly, the 2026 model adopts the Tesla-style North American Charging Standard (NACS) port as standard equipment, paired with a CCS adapter that provides access to over 36,000 DC fast chargers nationwide. A larger battery pack (84 kWh) promises increased driving range (up to 36 additional miles), while interior technology advances include a new 27-inch OLED display that combines the instrument cluster with the infotainment controls.
The Electrified GV70 comes with a five-year or 60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and a ten-year or 100,000-mile powertrain protection plan (including the primary EV battery). Owners also enjoy three years or 36,000 miles of complimentary standard scheduled maintenance and access to Genesis Service Valet (a loaner car program with pickup and drop-off services).
The gasoline-powered GV70 is has also been refreshed for model year 2026. We devote a separate overview page to that model.
320-kW Dual Electric Motor System
Max Driving Range
10-80% Level 3 Charging
The all-wheel-drive 2026 Electrified GV70 is available in three trims: Base, Advanced, and Prestige. Dual 160 kW motors produce a combined output of 429 horsepower, which temporarily rises to 483 horsepower when Boost Mode is engaged. A new 84 kWh battery supports up to 263 miles of range in the Base, while the Advanced and Prestige are rated to travel 243 miles before needing a recharge. The MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent) estimates are 103 MPGe in the city and 88 MPGe on the highway for the base trim, and 96 MPGe around town and 80 MPGe on the open road for higher trims.
At peak conditions using a 350 kW Level 3 charger, the Electrified GV70 can be taken from 10% to 80% of battery capacity in about 19 minutes. It also supports vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability, allowing users to power small electronics and appliances through an onboard 110-volt AC outlet. With the proper equipment, this EV can tow up to 3,500 pounds.
The Electrified GV70 Base underscores the Genesis approach to luxury with a panoramic sunroof, perforated leather upholstery, fingerprint authorization, wireless device charging, a 27-inch instrument cluster and infotainment system display, heated front seats, a 12-way power driver’s seat, an eight-way power front passenger seat, and a hands-free liftgate. It also has LED exterior lighting, proximity keyless entry, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability, aluminum interior accents, four USB ports, and 19-inch alloy wheels.
The Advanced focuses on cabin upgrades with heated and ventilated front seats, a driver’s memory system, an upgraded driver’s seat (massage and power side bolsters and cushion extension), front passenger-seat power lumbar controls, a power tilt-and-telescopic steering column, tri-zone automatic climate control, and backlit interior accents. Genesis also adds power-folding electrochromic side mirrors, a digital key, and 20-inch wheels. The Prestige takes the Electrified GV70 to the next level with Nappa leather upholstery, heated second-row outboard seats, a leatherette-wrapped upper instrument panel, a head-up display, a microfiber headliner, rear-door sunshades, and active cabin noise control.
The Electrified GV70 comes with a suite of advanced driver-assistance systems. These technologies include forward collision-avoidance assist, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, lane-keeping assist, lane-following assist, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, front and rear parking sensors, driver attention warning, adaptive cruise control, highway driving assist, speed limit assist, and automatic high beams. The Advanced adds upgraded forward collision-avoidance assist, a blind-spot view monitor, reverse parking collision-avoidance assist, a surround-view monitor, and enhanced highway driving assist. The Prestige also gets enhanced parking collision-avoidance assist (with front, side, and reverse protection) and Remote Smart Parking Assist. A rearview monitor with parking guidelines is found on all three trims, along with a complement of airbags, stability control, and traction control.
The Electrified GV70’s infotainment system, which is delivered through the integrated dashboard display, brings together navigation, wireless smartphone integration (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), Bluetooth, and SiriusXM satellite radio. All trims are also set up with Wi-Fi hotspot capability and access to Genesis Connected Services for emergency assistance, remote functions, and vehicle monitoring. An eight-speaker audio system is the default, with the Prestige receiving an upgrade to a Bang & Olufsen unit with fifteen speakers.
