The Genesis GV70 earned high praise from Car and Driver last season, securing a spot on its 10Best list for the third consecutive year, along with a 2025 Editors’ Choice Award in the Compact Luxury SUV category. Without any need for boasting, we can confidently predict another big year for this luxury SUV. Why? Genesis continues to refine the very qualities that critics and owners love—its sophisticated design, innovative technology, and dedication to automotive safety.
Although the 2026 GV70 won’t see a full redesign, recently released images show a restyled front bumper and headlights, a new grille, updated wheel designs, and a striking new Ceres Blue paint color. The interior is a different story, however. It will be dominated by a stunning 27-inch OLED screen spanning nearly half the dashboard, seamlessly integrating the instrument panel and infotainment system into a single, crystal-clear display. Genesis also plans to make Forward Attention Warning standard across the lineup, while the higher trims will benefit from enhanced technology, including Remote Smart Parking Assist 2, Parking Distance Warning with side-angle protection, a premium Bang & Olufsen stereo, and Digital Key 2. We’d like to note that the 2026 Genesis Electrified GV70 will have a host of changes for the new model year as well.
Standard 2.5L Turbocharged 4-Cylinder
Available 3.5L Twin-Turbo V6
Standard All-Wheel Drive
The 2026 GV70 will have standard all-wheel drive (AWD), two available powertrains, and six trim choices: 2.5T AWD, 2.5T Select AWD, 2.5T Advanced AWD, 2.5T Sport Prestige AWD, 3.5T Sport Advanced AWD, and 3.5T Sport Prestige AWD. The 2.5T represents a 300-horsepower, 2.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder, and it will be paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission (8AT). The 3.5T trims are going to be equipped with a 375-horsepower, 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 mated to the same 8AT. Plus, the 3.5T version will have an electronically controlled suspension with Road Preview technology, which employs a front-facing camera to help detect irregularities in the road ahead and automatically make the necessary adjustments.
Genesis has released projected feature sets for each ‘26 GV70 trim. The 2.5T AWD should have a power hands-free liftgate, heated outside mirrors, 19-inch alloy wheels, synthetic leather upholstery, power-adjustable and heated front seats, adjustable ambient interior lighting, and a fingerprint authentication system for keyless door access and vehicle ignition (among other functions). The 2.5T Select AWD will add power-folding side mirrors, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charger, and aluminum interior trim with a spin-brushed pattern. The 2.5T Advanced AWD is only expected to change up its cabin with backlit trim, leather seating surfaces, ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel.
The 2.5T Sport Prestige AWD interior will have three-zone climate control, a leatherette-wrapped upper instrument panel, aluminum trim with a haptic carbon pattern, manual rear-door sunshades, and an Ergo Motion driver’s seat with a power cushion extension bolster. Genesis has also confirmed that it will have 21-inch alloy wheels and the signature “Sport” appearance. The 3.5T Sport Advanced AWD and 3.5T Sport Prestige AWD will both have the more powerful 3.5L twin-turbo V6 engine, an electronically controlled suspension, and the “Sport” design theme. The Prestige Sport will be loaded with Nappa leather, carbon-fiber trim, a microfiber suede headliner, heated second-row seats, and a head-up display.
The luxury automaker has already announced a long list of Genesis Smart Sense driver-assist technologies and advanced safety features that will be standard equipment on the ‘26 GV70 crossover. The base 2.5T AWD will have high beam assist, forward attention warning, forward collision-avoidance assist, smart cruise control, highway driving assist, driver attention warning, intelligent speed limit assist, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, blind-spot collision avoidance-assist, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance-assist, parking distance warning (front/rear), safe exit assist, and rear occupant alert.
The 2.5T Advanced is expected to have advanced rear occupant alert, upgraded parking distance warning with side angle detection, a surround view monitor, blind-spot view monitor, and parking collision-avoidance assist (reverse). Both 3.5T trims are slated to have Highway Driving Assist 2 and Remote Smart Parking Assist, and the top-of-the-line 3.5T Sport Advanced AWD should have Remote Smart Parking Assist 2.
The biggest standard addition (literally) to will be the 27-inch OLED display, which combines the SUV’s instrument cluster and infotainment system onto a single, expansive screen. Genesis also plans on the following features for every trim: onboard navigation, wireless versions of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, HD Radio, SiriusXM, Genesis connected services, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The 2.5T Advanced AWD is expected to add a Bang & Olufsen premium audio system, while the 2.5T Sport Prestige AWD should get Genesis Digital Key 2 capability.
