Trims and Powertrains

In typical Genesis fashion, the G80’s trims are divided first by powertrain and then by their standard equipment package. The trims that receive the base powerplant, a turbocharged 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine (output: 300 horsepower and 311 lb.-ft. of torque) are the 2.5T AWD, 2.5T Advanced AWD, and 2.5T Sport Prestige AWD. Those that get the upgraded twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 engine (making 375 horsepower and 391 lb.-ft. of torque) are the 3.5T Sport Prestige AWD, and 3.5T Prestige Black AWD. All trims have an 8-speed automatic transmission and – as their names indicate – an all-wheel drivetrain.

All 2.5T trims return an EPA-estimated 20 mpg city and 29 mpg highway, while all 3.5T trims achieve 15 mpg city and 24 mpg highway. The 2.5T Sport Prestige AWD and 3.5T Prestige Black AWD enjoy an electronically controlled suspension with road preview; the 3.5T Sport Prestige AWD’s suspension is sport-tuned and complemented by rear-wheel steering and performance brakes. Every G80 rides on a multilink front and rear suspension and has monobloc four-piston front brake calipers.

Standard Equipment

The 2.5T AWD is protected by fingerprint authentication and gets a leatherette interior, heated power-adjustable front seats with lumbar support, a heated steering wheel, a 27-inch curved OLED display with an integrated digital instrument cluster, heated rear seats, adjustable ambient interior lighting, power-folding electrochromatic side-view mirrors with integrated puddle lights, a hands-free smart trunk with auto-open, micro lens array LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, gloss-black interior accents, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The 2.5T Advanced AWD has heated and ventilated front seats, tri-zone HVAC with rear controls, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless smartphone charger, a power hands-free smart trunk, a power rear sunshade and manual side sunshades, Genesis Digital Key 2, matte-finished wood interior trim, and 19-inch alloy wheels. The 2.5T Sport Prestige AWD receives a trim-specific exterior appearance, leather upholstery, driver’s-seat power cushion extensions with bolsters and Ergo-Motion, aluminum interior accents, and 20-inch alloy wheels.

The 3.5T Sport Prestige AWD adds Nappa leather seating surfaces, a head-up display, soft-close doors, carbon-fiber interior accents, and a microfiber suede headliner and pillars. The 3.5T Prestige Black boasts exclusive quilted Nappa leather seats, dark inner headlight bezels, open-pore ash wood interior trim, black exterior elements and badging, and 20-inch black alloy wheels with floating center caps.

Driver-Assist Technology and Safety Features

The G80 lineup is outfitted with Smart Cruise Control, Highway Driving Assist 2, Lane Following Assist 2, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2, rear occupant alert, lane keeping assist, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, forward and reverse parking distance warning, forward attention warning, safe exit assist, a rearview camera, and high beam assist. The 2.5T Sport Prestige AWD and above add Remote Smart Parking Assist 2, Advanced Rear Occupant Alert, a 360-degree surround-view monitor, forward/side/reverse parking collision-avoidance assist, and side parking distance warning.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The G80’s 27-inch curved OLED display houses the infotainment system, which has onboard navigation, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM satellite radio as its standard components. The 2.5T AWD gets a 9-speaker sound system, while the higher trims get an upscale 1,400-watt Bang & Olufsen upgrade with 18 speakers and a 14-channel amplifier. Every G80 is set up with access to Genesis Connected Services.
